We founded R8 Gaming on a simple principle: every review is bought with our own money, played on retail hardware, and scored after a minimum completion threshold. No early access perks, no advertiser influence, no exceptions.

Our scoring system rates games on a 1-10 scale across five weighted categories: Gameplay (30%), Visuals (20%), Audio (15%), Narrative (20%), and Value (15%). Each category is scored independently by two reviewers, and the final score is the weighted average rounded to one decimal. We publish the full category breakdown alongside every review so you can weigh the dimensions that matter most to you.
